Enjoyable match between these two. Both of them throwing everything at it.

So close between them going into the third set.

Hannahs mental game just couldnt keep up which is why she lost but all credit to mimi for keeping calm and composed throughout a deserved winner

Hannah is still younger needs more experience. I expected Mimi to win more easily TBH, so well played young Hannah!

The matches are getting closer and closer.

They both play next as 2nd and 3rd seeds in the J500 clay court event in Offenbach on 23rd April (and maybe as doubles partners?).

 I don't agree

To me, Hannah started dreadfully, really couldnt deal with the wind, was having a service nightmare

And then managed extremely well to get it back together - showed good mental fortitude and problem solving - but the double faults, especially from the near camera end, with the wind, were really tricky and caused her problems, including on MP missed and Mimi's MP, which was not mental, it was just another DF to add to the huge collection she'd got already

In the third set, she was behind the whole way, not mentally, indeed, she did very well to make it difficult for Mimi and to hang on in, but Mimi just had the flatter shots, with more power, which were more effective in these conditions

Absolutely agree with CD, well re the third set which is all I saw but was ultimately of course the real business end.

Hannah fought well, often uncomfortable with her ball toss and serving some DFs with that very gusty wind, really hanging in there while Mimi was easing through her service games.

Pity about the wind but still well done both, and ultimately particularly Mimi on the title.

Mimi seems to be playing doubles with Mika now.

Yes but Mika isn't down to play in Offenbach

Hopefully Hannah will get some British grass court WCs regardless?

She has a QWC for Ilkley and I don't think there is any doubt she'll get a QWC for Wimbledon.

Yes, she had an adult wimbly quali wildcard last year
She's sure to have that again
Good chance for Surbiton, as it's so close to home?
And I wouldn't be surprised to see a MD WC to one of the WTAs as well

Or does Surbiton clash with RG?
