There's a bus load in Malta biggrin

J60 Malta (with three rounds before QFs)

R1 wins, Boys:

Max Carrier, Harry Abel, Felix B Evans, Joe Mazingham and Matt Mclain 

R1 wins, Girls:

Sarah Copley, (q) Rose Clifton, Ophelia K Davies, Charlotte Holmes, Sofia Aquilina and TiaJakupovic-Kljako

Got to feel for poor Julia Reynolds who was the one sole loss in R1

Another big coach load has descended on Finland

J100 Finland

Boys

R1 Byes for Dan Hughes, Jay Johnson-Hauldren and Luke Hooper

R1 wins for Conor Brady and Martin Howe

Girls

R1 Byes for Allegra K Davies, Elizabeth Evans, Flora Johnson and Brooke Black

Sarah Copley won

But it was a bit of a massacre for the rest, with R2 losses for: (q) Rose Clifton, Ophelia K Davies, Charlotte Holmes, Sofia Aquilina and Tia Jakupovic-Kljako

Max Carrier and Harry Abel are through to the semis and play each other so we have a guaranteed finalist

Felix B Evans lost in the QFs

and Joe Mazingham lost in R3

For some reason the scheduling is a little out of kilter but who cares....

The final of the boys doubles is tomorrow - with Conor Brady playing - and the semi-finals of the singles is also tomorrow

Harry Abel takes bragging rights in the all-GB semi-final

Both aged 16, Harry beat Max Carrier in a tight three-set match


Sarah Copley made the girls' final quite easily

Good luck to both Sarah and Harry tomorrow

After taking the girls doubles title, we now have guaranteed the boys singles title

Both Jay Johnson-Hauldren and Luke Hooper won their respective semi-finals and will play the final tomorrow

And we wrap up the boys' doubles title too (well, one player thereof)



Conor Brady and partner win the title, 6-1 6-1


And we were within a whisker of ensuring the girls singles title too

Brooke Black won her SF, and has made the final

But Allegra lost her SF, in a third-set TB :(

SO all the pressure is now on Brooke to make it a complete clean sweep..... good luck, girl !

Record bonanza:

Two singles titles, to add to the girls doubles title, and one player of the boys doubles title - I'm not sure I've ever seen an overseas tournament of this level where we've scooped up the prizes quite to this extent



Finland J100

Girls Final: Brooke Black won, 6-0 6-0 (that's the way to do it !)

Boys Final: Luke Hooper def. Jay Johnson-Hauldren 6-3 6-3

This is Brooke's best singles title, she previously had a J60 and two J30s

It will be her biggest counter, and add 70 net new points

For Luke, he's having a stellar year

This is his third J100 title

His lowest counter is a 20

But he's got a 60 coming off in early April so it effectively will be 40 net new points
