Thanks guys - she is bright; didnt get it from me or my wife! Haha. Shes planning to stay in Edinburgh post degree , get some
Sort bar work etc and find a proper job from there, as in career, with a degree in her pocket. Dead proud

Anxiety is so crippling though

And I remember she had a horrible time when she first started (during Covid) so double extra well done to her for getting through all that and getting such good results!

Well remembered, Tanaqui! Yes, its been a rollercoaster. She needs to just push over the line now - the exam is a week on Friday , the essays are being marked currently. And lets see! For now she is very happy with herself, over her boyfriend split and looking forwards !

Shes always doubted herself as well, partly as shes lived in the shadow of her brother. Hes a genuine brain, intellect. Got a first at Oxford in PPE and similar results at all levels previously. Shes always felt she isnt as capable as him - she will never be as academically sharp but she is so diligent and hardworking, and she writes so well and researches so deeply, she pulls it out.

not sure how they both manage it, my wife and I both got through polytechnic by the skin of our teeth! Haha

 Thank you goldfish.

sorry everyone - I seem to share loads of personal news and am never sure how appropriate it is - our family seems to live a very up and down life and it helps me to get it out there!

Great that your son has done so very well. Hope you all push him off his pedastal from time to time and his shadow is kept under control.

Oh yes - hes now working out one of the London borough councils and I often remind him via the words of Deacon Blue that hes a worker for the council, has been (not yet) 20 years. Hes often referred to as Bogie! Keeps him nice and in his place.
