There will be loads of doubles players still going on Friday unless there is a big cull today.

Mimi looks like she will prevail, however all the seeds are left on her side of the draw and none on the other side.

Well done Mimi. She wins 1-6 6-4 6-2. She next faces her doubles partner.

She, and her team, were here for three weeks but have already pulled out of the 25/03.

Good win for Mimi against a player ranked nearly 300 places above her. Interesting match next. Needs a higher tariff tournament? Not sure leave it to the experts.

All about her tennis development for now rather than being that much bothered about rankings.

I think W15s are fine for now. She will no doubt get chances to step up in the grass season.

Carolina Kuhl that Mimi defeated was the 4th seed not the 8th seed.

Her ranking is not high enough yet to make 35k main draw, so playing and winning at 15k is the obvious solution until she can get direct acceptance or utilise a wildcard at a domestic tournament.

Her ranking will jump significantly by the summer.

Just done a bit of research and on a couple of W35s there were players in the 900s getting into qualifying.  So she could potentially get into qualifying. I suppose I just want Mimi to fly! Im not sure about that serve though. It is so powerful but not so consistent. Im not sure grass is Mimis best surface. She has done best on the hard courts in the matches I have been following.
