1. Oliver Bonding, for winning the J500 "Banana Bowl", dropping only one set along the way. Oli is the first British boy to win a J500 event since they were introduced in 2023, having earlier in the week become the first British boy to reach the semis or beyond of a J500 event. Prior to the introduction of J500s, only three other British boys had won any of the equivalent top-level "Grade A" tournaments, the last of them being George Morgan, who won the 2010 Orange Bowl.
2. Alfie Hewett - won the Super series Cajun Classic, beating world number one (Oda) in the final and for a secomd straight week to take his consecutive wins now to 12 matches. Also won the doubles title (w/ Gordon Reid). On 18th March, Alfie also went back to world number one!
3. Luke Hooper (2006) - two J100 singles titles, back to back, at Loughborough
4. Mingge Xu (Mimi) - aged 16 - for winning the doubles title at the W15 in Monastir - her first double tournament outside the UK. And she also reached the quarter final in singles (her fourth tournament abroad, all in Monastir)
5. Olivia Nicholls for winning the W125 in Charleston
Business end of week 3 of 4, Mimi building on her performance earlier in the month. Remember, if anyone springs to attention, any board member can nominate a player at any time - just add to the list above by quoting it (top right of each post), editing it and adding a player and reason. Nominations will close March 31st.

Mimi reaching this weeks semis so updated narrative

Action includes Katie, Andy, Cam in Miami singles action, Heather, Joe, Neal, Lloyd, Andy in Miami doubles action and the usual array of ITF, Challenger and Junior events, plus wheelchair action in Korea.
Usual process - just add a name to the last list with a reason, by quoting the last list and editing to post your new list with the updated nomination details!

6. Andy Murray - for reaching the third round in Miami, and for winning the most matches of the British men over the IW and Miami sunshine swing, beating Goffin, Berrettini and Etchevery, and losing a Herculean match with Machac. Still the biggest heart out there.
I took a view that Andys record for the month stacks up as the best of the elite players this month so far - Katie B May exceeds it but for the month, not yet IMO, and in this month where there arent many nominations, he stands a decent chance.

At the ATP and WTA level, we just have Joe and Lloyd still in action for this month. Plenty around, of course, lower down the tiers. Nominations will close on Sunday; given we have just the two left in Miami, and a player in Mexico, it seems likely the vote will be up Sunday evening - just a single vote this month, going to be no need for rounds.

Just Lloyd left in Miami - is it me but after the heights and excitement of February and , for that matter, last few months, March has felt disappointing? and with clay in April and May, largely, i always feel slightly deflated until we see the grass.
Speaks for itself, Jon, it's comparatively not a great list. Pity
The ITF singles players and challengers/WTA 125 events progress now as we are in midweek, and perhaps we will see one or two come through.
just a reminder - any performances in qualies of events starting this weekend (where the event goes on next week for main draws eg the junior nationals) dont count towards this month, qualies count to the same period the main draw events are in ie April for the junior nationals. I know this is always the case, but felt it was worth stating.
