Yep Lloyd+ out.
They did well to get it to the final tiebreak as the German pair had largely been the better earlier on
Thought Lloyds partner was the weaker link and a nice bit of sportsmanship from Lloyd in the second set of when a ball was called out and the score given but Lloyd acknowledged he had touched it on the way and gave the point to his opponents. Nice to see.
Just found draw for XD Joes in playing with Ena Shibahara from Japan (she played brilliantly today in knocking out Gauff/Pegula with her partner Asia Muhammad).

Not very exciting really, in terms of entrants. i read somewhere that this is linked to the Saudi deal CD reported, all the 1000 events over 10 days will be introducing this; not sure if that is correct or not.
Neal and Santiago leave Indian wells as our top ranked team (part team) in the race, at 11th. Strange not seeing any Brits in the top 8 pairs, recognising its still early days of course
Interesting that Koolhof and Mektic are proving to be the consistent pair of 2024 to date. Their victory in Indian Wells is their third title in six events.

Turning out Koolhof got it right, maybe.
