 Quite possibly but by end of the season the asterisk will be forgotten much as the Covid slams dont have asterisks that people associated with them, or the slams that didnt involve Russians. Life moves on quickly - meanwhile Marni is edging closer, timewise, to that second spot. 

 

Not the best start to March at Indian Wells though by Katie.


Thoroughly deserved for February and lets hope we see her name in the list of French Open seeds and especially at Wimbledon

ha, I missed the end, but we land on 53 votes and congrats to Katie Boulter on winning the February PoM title, her second ever one.

And we have a final tie for second spot with Julian Cash joining Marni Banks in second place, congrats to both of them. How that would have changed if Katie hadnt been in the field, who knows, maybe an asterisk does need to go by them, but it is what it is and second spot is still a testament to their strong months!

Congratulations to Katie, Marni and Julian! Let's hope Katie's regrouped mentally and physically for her next tournament.

As for what would have happened without Katie's standout performance, I think Marni and Julian, for "first titles at that level" would probably still have come out as the top two, although perhaps with Liv, Marcus and Edie more in the mix as well. (Marcus probably got most short-changed this month, as I think he also had his first title at that level.)

Everyone else had a good month, but at a level they've performed to in the past, so not "outstanding".
