It's turning out to be a good tournament for Oli. To make it a great one, he will have to find a way past his nemesis from the last two weeks Nathan Trouve went on to reach the final on both occasions.

...and it is a great tournament for Oli - third time lucky against Nathan Trouve, becoming the first British boy to reach the semis of a J500 event (they only started this designation in 2023)  smile

Such a good tournament for Oliver. He's dropped a few points after reaching his career high of 12 in January this year but reaching the final here takes him nearly back to that ranking.

Anyone who happens to be in Brazil can watch the two singles finals on Nsports channel 566. Others should be able to watch on their YouTube channel. Proceedings have started with the girls final (defending champion Mayu Crossley currently trails Kaitlyn Rolls 5-3) Oli's match follows.

Kaitlyn won in straight sets (writing notes at change of ends rather like the Australian high jumper Nicola Olyslagers) and Oli has just started
