February 2024 Player of the Month Vote - Semifinal Group D

28 players split into 4 groups of 7, top 2 (and ties) from each will go into the final.

As always, vote for the person/players you feel is the player of the month from the list below - if you can say when you vote and for who and why, that always helps!

Vote will close at 8.50 am Tuesday morning, final to be posted shortly thereafter

4 - Heather Watson - for a timely reminder that she can still mix it with the top players. At the Abu Dhabi WTA 500, she reached the final in the doubles (with Linda Noskova), resulting in her rocketing up the doubles rankings. In singles at the same event, she came through qualifying and then won her first round match against the world number 16. She followed this up in the week after by reaching the final of the singles at the Roehampton W50, which will take her singles ranking up to around 125.

6 - Mark Ceban - age 14 - won the single title at the J60 Tunisia. This will boost him to about JWR 350, and take him to third best player in the world for his age.

9. Emile Hudd - won the ITF doubles event in Egypt with David Stevenson, reaching the singles QF stage as well; followed up with a SF singles and final of the doubles (with David) in week commencing 12th Feb, to make a really strong month.

12. Hephzibah Oluwadare (born 31 Oct 2007) - for achieving her first WTA singles ranking (1189) after picking up a point at the Roehampton W50. This follows on from winning a J200 in Germany earlier in the month.

20. Amelia Rajecki - who has taken the number 1 spot at NC State in style, undefeated at national indoor championships where she was selected at position 1 in all tournament team , also beating former national number 1 Fiona Crawley. Rising to number 3 in division 1 national college rankings.

21. Marcus Willis - ATP Challenger 50 and 100 doubles titles ( the 100 being a career best title ), in Glasgow partnering Scott Duncan and in Lille partnering Christian Harrison respectively. Ends the month at a further new CH, live ranked 129.

26. Damian Rodriguez - from Cobham - ex-ITF player, good junior, and Princeton player - now age 25 - and (most importantly) Katie Boulter's hitting partner which seems to be clicking SO well - he also does great videos of the two of them (he does all the music himself, I think) - but, seriously, he seems to be an excellent element of her team

Every poll should have a dentist's husband, so Mr Willis for me.

votes swinging around in all these groups, good to see. Hoping we could get a decent haul of votes once work has finished for many and the evening should produce some interesting voting

As it stands across the 4 groups, we could be headed to 11 players getting to the final. Several ties to unblock as the rest of the day progresses
