I think the reader's comment was about Wimbledon and I'd be surprised if they didn't put Andy as a late-start on Centre Court.
ah, ok that wasnt clear at all where Wimbledon came into it! I guess regardless of whether Wimbledon is his last or not, Andy WILL be on centre court and for every match he plays there. There is zero chance he wont be on centre court - at Wimbledon more than any other venue, he IS the main draw, plus the exposure in this one will be worldwide and enormous. No chance they will want to run the risk of his last match not being on centre court!
And, yes, for sure, evening match as well for his opener. If he gets into the same side of the draw as Alcaraz ,ie opening day, then that first day centre court schedule will be something. Or day two with Djoko etc.
I've just watched the "extended highlights" from the ATP site. Not sure that a 10 minute clip from 3 matches can be called "extended", but anyway... I was struck by how few spectators there were. Lucky their only source of revenue isn't ticket sales. Prize money $10m. Three years ago I rocked up at Surbiton Challenger (Prize money $50k) on a Tuesday and didn't get in as it was sold out.

brittak might be able to tell us more but I had always heard it was a long way from anywhere and you had effectively to stay there at a hotel to be able to spectate. Not a day trip place. Could be wrong but. To be fair, it usually gets big crowds by the end of the event, they always seem to crow loudly about record attemdances
It is about 30 mins drive from the largest town in the area - Palm Springs.
It has a lot of courts and some big capacities, hence why it looks lightly populated at times.
