No joy for Allegra (in singles or doubles), but I missed Charlie Robertson, who has joined the second week as third seed (and he is also seeded in the doubles, but Ben does not play). Mika has a repeat of last week's semi in round 2

Boys R2

Pham La Hoang Anh (VIE) v (5) Benjamin Gusic Wan
Moise Kouame (FRA) v (3) Charlie Robertson

Girls R1 (L48)

Irem Kurt (TUR) d. Allegra Korpanec Davies 6-2 6-4

R2

(1) Mika Stojsavljevic v Britt Du Pree (NED)
Yiru Chen (CHN) v (3) Hephzibah Oluwadare

Charlie is playing the 'hot' young prospect in France - (although he's still very young - three years younger than Charlie)

There's been a LOT of talk and press about Moise Kouame - he's only 14 - born 2009 (the same as Mark Ceban)

But he's the best 2009-born player in the world - he's JWR top-200

Won two J100 titles in January - and has also won the French National Championships a couple of times

Moise wasn't previously on my radar, so thanks for the info CD - certainly an emphatic win over Charlie here. I am puzzled as to why Charlie is here though, as I haven't spotted any other tournaments for him in the region, and it wouldn't make sense from a tennis or environmental perspective to fly out for 1 tournament.

Hep takes on last week's finalist.

Boys R2

(5) Benjamin Gusic Wan d. Pham La Hoang Anh (VIE) 6-0 7-5
Moise Kouame (FRA) d. (3) Charlie Robertson 6-0 6-1

Girls R2

(1) Mika Stojsavljevic d. Britt Du Pree (NED) 4-6 7-5 6-4
(3) Hephzibah Oluwadare d. Yiru Chen (CHN) 6-2 6-2

R3

(1) Mika Stojsavljevic v (16) Zhang-Qian Wei (CHN)
Alana Subasic (AUS) v (3) Hephzibah Oluwadare

Mika got an easy win as her opponent retired in the first set

But Hep got turned over by Subasic, who made the final, and lost to Mika in that final, last week

A win for Ben too

Charlie+ won their doubles, though, 14-12 (!!!) inthe MTB and are through to the semis

Ben continues to do well, and has out-performed his ranking
Ben now will play Hayden Jones (Emerson's brother) who beat Ben in three sets in last week's final)

And Charlie has made the doubles final

But Mika lost a three-setter, with a 6-0 in the third - which might imply she'd got some sort of problem?

Maybe Mika ran out of steam?she has had a very busy couple of weeks and still so young.
