There is also a Category 1 U14 event this week in France (TIM Essonne) which often is in the calendar of the best U14 youngsters

For GB Girls:

Awen Gwilym-Davies lost in R1.

As did Tara Lawal.

But Daniella Britton is through to R3

For GB Boys:

Neo Armus lost his first match

But Eric Lorimer is also into R3

J60 Oslo

Edie Griffiths won her QF and is into the SF

This will be against the top seed, so tough ask

But 2009-born Edie has already equalled her best counter ever and - having only 5 counters anyway - this will be a big jump in the rankings

Georgiana Mititelu unfortunately lost her QF in three sets

Super win from Daniella Britton in R3 of the TIM Essonne Cat 1 U14 event

It was a tricky match against a bad-tempered young Russian miss (who did have her hair done in lovely, old-fashioned bunches, though - you don't see them very often now ) and who was quite tricky to beat - the second set was extremely close

But Daniella played well and deserved the win

(She's born 23 Nov. 2010, I note, so a very late 2010-er too)

Excellent wins from both Eric Lorimer and Daniella Britton to make their respective semi-finals

(Sorry, this said Edie Griffiths first - I've amended it - too many Brits to follow biggrinbiggrinbiggrin)
