 Not the dream team, then!

Not quite happening yet for Neal and Santiago; it might seem drastic but Id give it through Miami and then make a call on whether this pairing keeps on through the summer.

Jordan Thompson beats Zverev in 3h 40m to reach the singles final just after 1am and still has his doubles semi - against Ruud who is also in the singles final - to play after suitable rest. Got to love tennis scheduling.

1:20am, I think. But yeah. All these Mexican events start late, but when you have two people playing doubles who are in separate singles semi finals then big problem. Surely starting at 5pm would be better than 7pm, but what do I know.

Indeed - and I guess they need to play it or bigger problems tomorrow.

Rescheduled for tomorrow (after I guess a bit of debate). Singles final 8pm, doubles semi follows after suitable rest and then the doubles final again after suitable rest. Brilliant.

Really?! So lets say doubles semi starts at 11pm to midnight, the doubles final 1 am to 2 am- all done by 3 or 4 am! Marvellous !

And one of Thompson or Ruud will be in all 3 matches as well

Well I doubt Jordan would have wanted to play doubles tonight after nearly 4 hours play and he is going for his first ever title. Singles final will be set in stone for TV purposes. Not much choice. Obviously foresight can avoid these things. You would think the organisers would be embarrassed and change things for next year, but you know they will not.

Thompson took both titles , winning the singles final over Ruud and then doubles semis and final. It looks like theyve just finished playing - 3 am finish ?

Good effort and kudos in Cabos to Thompson.
