Possibly, though actually I take it as voting for my favourite player just now, as opposed to over the last year or two or last decade.

I was already definitely feeling that I was going to move on from my traditional vote for Andy ( respect and love the guy for many reasons but he is not grest to follow these days ).

Heather would have been in my thoughts for my vote whatever. .But she did clinch it with this week so that right here, right now she is my favourite British tennis player.

By the way, people may wonder why I get excited about how many votes we get. It is slightly narcissistic, Id agree but to be honest it just makes me think its more worthwhile spending time doing it, when people vote and take part. The more the merrier!

53 is our second biggest poll. So that makes me think it was worthwhile and is worth doing again next year!

it was and I think reflected weve now got more players playing at a decent level , with more press coverage and therefore a widening of our support to reflect that wider top tier of players?!
