Same. Even if Ons wasnt in a bit of a slump, shes not always played her best in the Middle East.

 I aggree

iIf Emma can get past the Czech Im sure she can take Ons.

Its a good game style match up for Emma against Ons.

Ons is WR 6 if Emma beat Ons it would be the best win of her career. Emma's best win so far is Belinda Bencic WR 11.

Great tiebreak from Hev, the short angle slice backhand at *5-3 was unreal.

She's got a lot of crowd support too.

3-6 7-6(3) 0-0*

The Spaniard unravelled a bit and Heather gets to 5-1*

Four individual match points saved with huge serves. I mean big even for Masarova who hits a bomb.

On the fifth she's able to get into a rally and wins!

Huge results these for Hev. Fab!

R1: Heather Watson WR 139 v Jelena Ostapenko (LAT) WR 12 [5]

Ostapenko is playing the Linz final at this very moment. There are five singles matches scheduled for tomorrow, so it is quite possible they wouldn't have to play this until Wednesday.

Emma is scheduled for tomorrow (Monday)

Jelena has just won pretty easily 2 and 3 so wouldnt be surprised if she played. Not sure if she is defending any points which may be a factor.

She has two lots of 55 points due off before Dubai, but they are both non-counters.

Best ranking win anyway. Simply "best" is often different and most folk would add in other factors.

Records are there to be broken, but lets see if she can get past the first round first.
