The WTA site seems rather confused about Bouzkova's ranking. If you click on her name it says it is 26, if you then use the head to head against Emma it flips to 36. If you list rankings she appears in position 36.

Well spotted Peter. She's 36 in the ranking list so that must be the correct one.

26 is Bouzkova's doubles ranking. The WTA defaults to the higher of the singles and doubles ranking. However it is not immediately clear which ranking is being shown.

Yes, it is very confusing. If you use the head to head then it defaults to the singles ranking, giving the present and CH of both players, it also tells you if they have played each other before.

Cracking result from Heather.  Heather has been a hard follow at times over the years but what keeps me interested is knowing that there can often be days like this.  Certainly justifies the decision to go biggrin

And of course, when I look up rankings for doubles it usually shows me the singles first (because the players are often primarily sigles players). I usually check the W/L figure on the right.

Though what level of Ons will we see here?

Let's hope Emma at least gets to play her anyway.

 Absolutely

I'd have been better pleased if Emma had gotten Ons in R1 ....

Same. Even if Ons wasnt in a bit of a slump, shes not always played her best in the Middle East.

iIf Emma can get past the Czech Im sure she can take Ons.

Its a good game style match up for Emma against Ons.
