Week 5 - WTA500 - Upper Austria Ladies Linz - indoor hard

I would say her and Katie are both 1 win away from new career highs

Miss Burrage is certainly predictable only by her unpredictability, but we'll take it! Well done!

A new CH this week might be tough as it's potentially Ostapenko in the quarters.

Particularly good after a minor wobble, regrouped very well. Hugely encouraging to see, and great to string these wins together at a big tournament.

She needs one more win for a CH

Yes, showing as live ranked 87 against her CH 85 from last September. Another win would smash it

Well done, Jodie! Really great to see some mental toughness and holding it together after the wobbles. More please!

My thoughts exactly. I thought she was heading for meltdown after losing the break in the second set, but a few looks towards (presumably) her coach and she settled down again although Christian came up with some good serves to make it hard work.

A very timely run for Jodie, particularly with points for a 250 event going down and a 500 going up.

Her 2nd biggest counter too! Great to solidify her back into the top 100, she doesn't seem to have many points coming off before April. So a few wins here and there on tour could set her up amazingly for the remainder of the year.

Well done Jodie!

Points are pretty close from 85 up to 60 in the rankings at the minute too, so there's every chance she can get up there and beyond before the grass.

And it puts her in the Top 60 on the Race to Paris. There isn't an official Race To Paris, but it's useful to be able to look at points won from June 2023 up until now.

That was a very calm and positive Jodie match (didn't expect to be saying that biggrin) - played within herself, and forced the errors from Cristian smile

Jodie's doubles has been cancelled. Her would be opponents are playing. Hope that she is not incapacitated.

The draw sheet says Jodie withdrew due to a viral illness.  That doesn't sound good for her next round singles.
