Well done to Robert Beznea [6] and Lois Newberry for being this week's winners. The women were behind so had to play the QF as well as the scheduled SF and final today. Lois won her 3 matches with a match tie-break and spending almost 6 hours on court (if the times are accurate).

Ryan Peniston has turned up at the British Tour Grade 2 (!) event in North Oxford

Not often you see anyone in the top-1000 playing a G2 BT event, let alone someone who's close to the top-200

A few slight surprises in the men's R1 matches, as (q) Seth Briggs-Williams defeated the 8th seed, and Seb Harrison defeated Ilias Worthington (seeded 5) and Fred Barnet defeated the 6th seed, Glaysher

Pleased to see Charlie Swaine get a win

 

The women's R1 matches play tomorrow - lovely to see Sally Pethybridge back from USA duty and on GB grass again. Quite a strong group of youngsters playing too.
