I remember Jo Konta had trouble finishing off matches from a winning position and then got a psychology coach and stormed up number 4 in the rankings. One bad point should not be allowed to affect a player for the rest of the match. Jodie needs someone to teach her how to forget what has just happened and concentrate solely on winning the next point.

Didn't he end up killing himself though?

I mean, yes he did but what's that got to do with Jo (or Jodie)?

My point is wouldn't that rather shake your belief in anything he had taught you?

Not sure how they are connected, tbh? It is v sad the coach killed himself, it is sad when anyone does, but it doesnt take away from the validity of what he was able to help his clients with.

Katie Boulter takes the first set 7-5 against Yue Yuan.

No sign of the match showing on Eurosport or Amazon Prime despite paying £7 subscription.

 They're all on Discovery plus

Been a joy

Well done ladies

Just tried to find replay of Emmas match on Discovery+ , not a named match, then found a bit where it had just finished on one of the blue icon AO selections hmm  None of the Brits matches seem to be on named icons, managed to find the final set of Cams also on a blue icon thingy with adverts. Not impressed cryhmmnodisbelief

I've just logged into Discovery + and I have icons to show replays for all the British matches plus plenty of others too.  Honestly it works really well for me so I am wondering why it would be so different for you?

I recorded the Australian Open periods showing on Eurosport 1 & 2 and then just had to search through the files to find Emma's match.

It would be 'irrelevant' for many things but I think you ask a valid question for a sports psychologist, say

Last years Wimbledon finalists having a hard time with Jabeur only winning 2 games and Vondrousova only winning 3 games against Yastremska.

Jabeur has been injured?
I think last year's Wimbledon final destroyed her mentally.

Even with Jabeur injured, this is such a statement victory for the youngster with a scoreline like that.

Was hearing on Radio 5 Live that if Ons had won Wimbledon last year she was planning on at least taking a break to start a family, something that she has made clear she very much wants to do sometime. That does seem hell of an additional pressure at the time and possible effect afterwards.
