Yes I agree CD. A perfect morning's viewing. Woke up in time to see the last point of Jack's match followed by lovely solid wins for Katie and Emma. A rare treat for me to see live tennis as we don't subscribe to Sky.

Its really weird. If you subscribe to Discovery Plus via Amazon Prime, you cant find all the matches. Or am I missing something?

I'm not very genned up on it all but I know that if you subscribe to discovery plus directly then you get all the courts
And yes only 7 pounds

We get our broadband from BT and that gives us full access to Discovery plus. It's excellent (despite one particular dreadful commentator)

Yafan Wang knocked out the number 22 seed so she will probably be a tougher opponent than Shelby but Emma should be able to notch up another win.

Yes you should be able to get all the matches via Amazon and then Discovers+. It takes some searching but they are all there! It doesnt tell you which matches are on which Extra Court -but they are there!

Two very solid results.
Though her level dropped a bit at times I never felt Katie wouldn't win. her opponent wasn't especially good but gave Katie enough to think about to make it a decent if unexciting match. Katie's serve and big forehand are enough to trouble many players if they are working well. I don't think she's that strong on the backhand side especially when rushed but she's looking good for a positive year as long as she can stay fit. Next round will be a lot tougher though.

Emma played well, I thought, but Rodgers was pretty poor if we're honest. A decent win nevertheless though I don't think it says too much about where Emma is right now. We will know more next round. Let's hope she gets no physical reaction to the match today.

The £7 for Discovery+_ is great value. I did go through Amazon once but found the synch wasn't as good and now there's no reason for me to have Amazon I'm glad to use Discovery+. Hopefully Sky don't get their hands on it. Their coverage is absolutely awful in comparison and 6 times the cost.

I think Katies backhand and movement have improved greatly in the last 12 months, and further improvements made during this latest off season. Her forehand has always been world class. Shelby had a similiar time off the tour like Emma and although she hasnt competed in any pre tournaments this year, I think its a bit pessimistic to state this performance doesnt show any indication of Emmas level - she could have been as rusty as Shelby! Lets think positive. Im predicting an all GB 3rd round!
