Thanks for the link. Good lengthy article with interesting stats on his comparative rise.
The BBC seem to me to have really upped their tennis game in the last year or so. A number of good articles compared to previous poor times when many achievements went barely remarked upon and / or articles had many basic errors

A lot of the online stuff seems to come from Jonathan Jurejko, I think he is also based in Scotland as well?

Think he's based in Manchester.
He is Scottish though isnt he?
He went to school in Donny, so he may well be a Yorkshireman.

Youre probably right, also worked in Donny and then went to Leeds Uni for a post grad, based in Manc as Vicman says - so looks like he has been nowhere near Scotland, ever :0)
Having had an amazing run at the Australian Open, losing in R3, Jake was one of the very few singles players still hanging around the site late in the second week, because he was staying there for Davis Cup duty coming up very soon in Japan
And so when Novak was looking for a hitting partner, Jake got the call up

And Jake did take a set off Djokovic at Wimbledon last year, so Djokovic would know he's got enough class to make a good hitting partner. (Plus I should imagine Andy also knows that.)
I had a brief exchange with Jeff Sackmann today and he tells me that he is planning to follow more of Jake and may decide to do an analysis of his game and rise around the grass season.

With Cam set to lose some points in a week or two and Jake not defending anything for a while, if Jake outscores Cam by just a few points, he will rise to GB #2. Cam loses points that would take him just one or two places and a few points above Jake.
Interesting times for Jake - Marseille 250 (qualies) and Pau CH and then San Diego CH coming up, before possible entries into IW (where he is alt 2) and Miami - could be a lot more of a rise coming for him if he does well in that series of events before the clay.
Cam has Dallas 500 currently, where he had a good win last night, then Delray Beach, Acapulco (qualies at the moment, but alt 4) and then IW. The sunshine route.
