Im really hoping Ella McD can kick on this year.
I have watched quite a few of her matches now and i havent been that impressed and sometimes wondered if she is even that motivated. I think she needs to decide on what type of game style she is going to go with as Just being a left-handed player can be a slight advantage however, that alone is not enough for top level tennis.
Sonay, Anna, Katy, Beth and Emily A expected in the main draw with WCs looking like Eliz, Freya and Alice. It's not immediately obvious to me who the 4th WC is. No one jumps out of the alternate list, most established players are committed elsewhere with the possible exceptions of Eden and Naiktha and most of the juniors that will get WCs this year are in Australia or Slovakia.
I just had a thought. Could the 4th WC be Tara? Is she wanting to come back? Is she ready to come back? Would the LTA be that sympathetic to her plight?
"North Florida women's tennis and head coach Catherine Dunagan are pleased to announce the signing of Aryana Bartlett, hailing from Estepona, Malaga, Spain to round out the 2024 signing class.
Bartlett attended Atlas American School of Malaga and holds a WTA professional singles ranking of 1200."
(I think they mean 'is pleased', just in case SC ventured this side of the male-female tennis divide)
