Not a GB flag next to her name, but Gabriela Knutson, lately of Durham University, putting in a very good effort against the seeded Anna-Lena Friedsam.



Although Gabi did stay in the UK after completing her post-grad, she gave the impression when interviewed last autumn she isn't anymore, referencing the UK as her base in the past tense. She said she was based in Czechia over the summer and since then described herself as a "floater".

Apparently Dart has won more points this January than she did Jan-April 2023. Looking good for a Top 100 return.

 My first thought: that isn't a stat I would have thought to consider. Surely matches are more important than points?

Ercan was pretty heavily strapped against Lily, who should've won that first set. The first set and a half was on Lily's racket (I fell asleep at that point).
