British Open draws out for singles

Quad - Andy Lapthorne, Greg Slade and Gary Cox in an 8 player draw

In the British Open

Quad - qf round Andy Lapthorne beat Heath Davidson; Greg Slade and Gary Cox went out

Womens - Lucy and Abbie both lost

Mens - Alfie, Gordon and Dahnon Ward get through to the last 8, Alfie and Dahnon play next.

In Roehampton, Alfie and Gordon both won in straight sets and move into the semis. Different halves this time

In the British Open semis, Alfie won in 3 sets over de la puente. Gordon lost 4 and 4 to Fernandez and so Alfie plays Fernandez in the final.

Andy Lapthorne lost his quad singles semi after retiring.

In doubles, just Ben Bartram left in a yet to be played semi of the mens.

The Wimbledon singles entry list is now finalised and from an British perspective we have

Mens - Alfie, Gordon and Ben

Womens - Lucy

Quad - Andy

Doubles lists will be announced next week - singles draws are planned to be made on Monday and play will probably start Tuesday.

Wimbledon wheelchair draws are out:

Men singles - Alfied seeded 2, plays fellow Brit Ben Bartram in round 1; Gordon is drawn against Gustavo Fernandez (seeded 3) which is tough for both; they are all in the same half

Womens singles - Lucy plays South African Montjane, who is ranked 11 versus Lucy's 14.

Quad singles - Andy plays American David Wagner in round 1 (in quads this is the QF stage)

Mens doubles - Alfie and Gordon seeded 1, Ben plays with Spanish player Caverzaschi

Womens doubles - Lucy plays with Bernal of Colombia

Quad doubles - Andy is seeded 2 and plays with Israeli Sasson

In the first result of the championships in wheelchair, Alfie beat Ben 6-1 6-4, which was to be expected - Ben gave quite a fight in the second set however, good account of himself

Fought hard, but Gordon went down 4 and 4 to Fernandez.

So, just ALfie into mens singles last 8.

Lucy and Andy play later today in the women's and quad singles respectively

Really good opening win for Andy Lapthorne in the quad singles , into the semis.

Lucy lost, so weve Alfie in mens last 8 singles and Andy in last 4 quad singles
