The Wimbledon entries for the wheelchair events are confirmed as:
Quad - Andy Lapthorne ( 6th in an 8 player field)
Womens - Lucy Shuker (14th in an 16 player field)
Mens - Alfie Hewett, Gordon Reid and Ben Bartram (1, 5 and 15 in a 16 player field) - 1 mens singles wild card yet to be announced; suspect they will see how the Eastbourne event goes - the following 4 are playing Eastbourne and arent in Wimbledon
Daniel Caverzaschi (ESP) 15
Dahnon Ward (GBR) 25
Jasiak Geoffrey (FRA) 27
Andrew Penney (GBR) 36 (WC)
Not a big fan of having 2 seeds in an 8 player draw.
Agreed, should have retained 4 - ending up with Alfie v Gordon in round one, the two biggest draws really, is a real shame and could have been avoided.

The Spaniard isnt in Eastbourne now and is replaced by Pakistani player Asif Abassi. Caverzaschi is first alt for Wimbledon, though, so suspect it will take a strong Eastbourne week from one of Ward, Jasiak, Pennry or Abassi to usurp the Spaniard and get the final wild card. There is probably also leeway to wait and see what the British Open next week brings as well

Abbie lost and so did Gary Cox, leaving our players in the semis as:
mens - Alfie versus Ben ; Andrew versus Gustavo Fernandez
In the Eastbourne International, Andy had a great win over top seeded Sam Schroder in the semis of the quad singles. He plays Heath Davidson in the final.
Alfie also won his semi over compatriot Ben Bartram and plays Gustavo Fernandez in the final.
