Well done to Joe and Rajeev! I dknt know how they break the tie but 4 players now on exactly the same points, 6450 (those in todays final) and Joe lands 6th in the rankings

Good start to the season!

Oh dear. Not looking great now. And I am falling asleep (from lack of sleep, not the tennis)

Thats a shame but if Jack keeps getting himself to finals , he will get a title soon.

Good week and bigger things to come !

Only caught the last set, but Lehecka was well on top. Jack had very few opportunities and his forehand wasn't as accurate as normal.

TBH I'm just delighted to see him come through a whole tournament injury free.

Also brilliant to see him mixing it with the top 20 and 30 guys and holding his own.

Tennis abstract have him at 21 in their ELO ratings, which measures a Truer picture of where his game is at relative to quality of opposition etc.

might not be precise but shows hes better than his world ranking

Disappointing Jack couldn't get over the line. That point in the second set where Jiri just dinked it over the net, which would have given Jack 3 break points if he'd won it, seemed to really boost Jiri while messing with Jack's head a bit. From what I saw, Jack was much less accurate after that than he had been before.

But I think that's not only his second 250 final but his second in a row, so he's definitely knocking on the door and should (fingers crossed) get a title soon. And, as Nix says, great to see him come through a tough tournament injury free.

Disappointing.  cry  Report from the Beeb.  Includes a snippet at the end covering Joe's & Rajeev's title win.  smile

Not to be for Jack. But stay injury free and he will become one hell of a player and win titles. The boy has just got it and looks a real fighter.

Yep, was just the one bad game serving at 4*-5 in the second that proved his downfall. Also missed 3 break back points at 1-3* in the 3rd but in all fairness didn't do a lot wrong. A shame, but like many I've every confidence that he'll get there.

Just a reminder that Jack is in the running for Player of the Month thanks to his performance in this event.
