The 28 players are split into 4 groups of 7; the groups each comprise 3 or 4 men and 3 or 4 women (3 groups will be 3 M/4W, 1 group 4M/3W). Semi groups will be assigned from round one and will be Semi 1 - A1, D1, B2, C2, A3, D3 and Semi 2 - B1, C1, A2, D2, B3, C3 - regardless of gender or singles/doubles background etc, just the way the round one groups fall.

 So anyone wanting to work out the semis groups (no spoilers please) can see the mix above. Youll see its landed as 3 men and 3 women in each group, which is good. Id say one group is a heavierweight group than the other, but its the way the cookie crumbled. 

More than the first round, i do expect these to be very competitive, partly as only 2 from 6 progress to the final. 

Semis groups will be posted tomorrow evening.

Personally I wouldn't particularly see one of the groups aa much more heavyweight than the other.

And of the at most 6 I saw from the beginning as realistic winners, 3 will be in each group, plus of the 4 I would ideally like to see in the final 2 will be in each group.

 Not all 6 for sure, but there is enough in each group to make the chase for the top 2 interesting, I would think. whether it be 3 or 4 in each group, thats enough and I dont see any 50 percent of vote winners being likely. But lets see, as we all have different tastes and things could pan out contrary to expectations!

 In truth  think one of the SF group will be a bit of a walk for the top 2, not do sure about the other

 Not to sure- I see 3 v strong candidates in each group, and some outliers that will take votes off some of the favourites. Might well be wrong but I think both will end up closer than the first round, although Group C was close - and I was expecting a tie until someone voted very late on (Im guessing Johnny Aitch is our regular last second voter, although hes not raised his hand!)

out of interest, can folks see voting before they vote? I cant so assume others also cant? Ibe decided not to say exact votes this time round, just scores as opposed to names, to avoid giving too much away.
