By the way if anyone has an LG TV, mine has something called LG Channels. One of those channels is Tennis Channel International which is showing United Cup

Cam takes the 1st set off Katie's other half 6-4.

Coverage on Tennis Channel. Should be available for free on LG and Samsung TVs with their included streaming channels. May be on other manufacturers TVs.

That feels like a huge win for Cam after a poor second half of last year.

Also great to see Fran there and looking fit!

Marvellous start to the year for Cam.

How do the ranking points work here again, what does Cam and later Katie get for a win?

Katie playing well to 6-2 *4-3

Decent crowd for this. Alja obviously fairly rusty.

Ajla did win her last tournament in November. Admittedly on clay but it was WTA 125

Surprised Maia hasn't been put in for mixed doubles. She's a much more accomplished doubles player than Katie. And Ebden/Hunter is going to be a very tough match. Seems odd to put Katie in who will be playing all the singles rubbers too.

Norrie gets 45 points for his win as De Minaur a Top 20 player.

Katie I assume only gets 15 points as Alya ranked so low.

I haven't seen Katie return that well ever. She was all over every serve, it was really wonderful to watch. Ajla started slowly but Katie really dominated, served beautifully and didn't hit too many errors. Can't wait to see her play JPeg.

Can GB change the team now we've won the tie? Maybe throw Maia in and rest Katie?
