Let it go JonH. You've explained it all at every stage, including the different votes and the timescale.

If people haven't been keeping up with the process it is their loss - don't take it to heart.

Thanks TA- just felt like the rug was slightly pulled from under me! Probably because I take it as something dear to me.

Ill shake it off by 10pm and push on!

meanwhile, there is a tie in this group to be broken!

You've got a bit of time, so go open a bottle ! That'll help shake it off  biggrin

Haha - Im sure Taylor Swift has a written a song about this topic and shaking it off.

As an aside , and for CDs benefit really. Im happy to do a December 2023 Pom vote in early January. Thats fine. And Im happy to discuss doing the 2024 vote for player of the season / year ( I think youll find a season is the tennis season though , you did know it was my winter?!) in January 2025 instead of December.

But lets debate best way forwards in a separate thread once this seasons vote is all over?

I hope, CD, youll take part as I value you doing so as one of the senior board members. Id be very sad if you didnt.

I always take part, Jon - never missed one to the best of my knowledge biggrin

Not always sure I give due reflection, sometimes go for a 'out of leftfield' vote - pretty sure I voted for Ollie Okwonkwo last time in one of the lists - but I always take part, promise

good thank you. Its good to discuss the process and how it works, its not my process , I run it for the board and we can debate and change what we feel needs changing.

what surprised me was your reaction seemed like you hadnt realised it was going on and it was all a surprise to you, which was mainly what stunned me.

re the suggestions you make, Ill put a thread to discuss ( and maybe with a vote) once this week is out of the way.

im also sad that Var felt they couldnt take part, that was sad and I hope they find it in them to participate later, perhaps, or next year if not

Just 15 mins left in all 4 groups.

Ill announce the results and qualifiers one by one , A to D, from 1005 or soon after and see where we lie in terms of qualifiers and ties.

Please don't feel disheartened, Jon. As TA said, you've provided detailed explanations at every stage, with lots of promotion in the last couple of months of what's going on.

I, for one, have really enjoyed the PoM/PoS competitions this year, as they've helped me learn more about players at the lower levels. (I find the number of posts for the lower level tournaments a bit overwhelming so tend not to read those.) Seeing people champion players like Emilie, who I would have otherwise missed out on knowing about, has been a lot of fun! So thank you from me for all your hard work.

For the semi final groups, the seedings are:

D1 - Joe
