Sarah really seems to be finding her way up the rankings

 Yes, reaching round 2 puts her up another 6 places in live rankings to around 1142 (Coric)  on 11 points. Continual progression upwards !

Slow climb when you are playing 15ks - need to go deep to make any substantial change

My goodness, what an amazing fight from Sarah

She was 1-3 down in the third set (maybe 1-4 down?)

And came all the way back to win 7-5 in the third, against the girl ranked 650 or so

R2: TATU, Sarah (GBR) Q 1148/58 def SORIANO SANTIAGO, Marta (ESP) 639/1360 6-2 3-6 7-5

QF: TATU, Sarah (GBR) Q 1148/58 =CH v RAKOTOMANGA RAJAONAH, Tiantsoa Sarah (FRA) 837/423 (CH=797/279 2023) {17yo JCH=86}

I would not want to be the umpire in that match, she can't even call her Sarah because they are both Sarahs.

I was watching live scores and there was a very, very long game where she had to dig out a hold at *2-4 and saved at least one break point at *4-4 as well.

Another big fight from Sarah, lasting almost three hours. But she comes out on the wrong side of 17 breaks of serve to lose 4-6 6-4 6-4.
And 94 points to 98 in total - thats more than 6 points per game, so very competitve.
