Would be great if she can bump up into the aus open qualie seeded positions, and she's still very capable of qualifying for the MD.
So 13 points for Heather, but only nett 5 as her lowest counter is 8 points. Probably needs to reach the final to get a decent seeding for AO qualies as she's around 60 points adrift of WR128

I'm confused about this TA as I have Heather on net 11 points as she loses one of her 2 point counters.

Are the two pointers mandatory, if so then they cannot be replaced.

I didn't think points gained in qualifying counted as mandatory, but maybe I'm mistaken?

They are from Mandatory tournaments (US Open, French Open and Miami), but the two pointers are from qualifying, not main draw so my mistake.
All three doubles pairs in action tomorrow. Heather still needs two wins to catch Maia for GB#1
Was Maia injured, TA, or just chose to sit it out? Reason I ask is, would attaining year end GB number one status in any of the 4 disciplines not come with some endorsement Bonuses from sponsors , if she has any, and she may lose those - presumably she wont have them if able chose to miss this event

I've no idea ! I haven't seen anything on social media and she hasn't actually posted on Instagram since the BJK Cup.
I did see a comment that Naiktha is out until the New Year with a rib injury though.

A pity for Naiktha as she normally does well on the Australian swing. Both in singles and doubles.

Still waiting for the draw in Angers might she not pop up there?
A good tournament for Emily here could leave her close to the 300s-400s
We have a good group of girls positioning themselves there or there abouts for 2024.
We still have a long way to go before we match USA who now have 17 women in the top 100 but never the less things are looking good for the GB women in 2024 and a few more wins for Heather and Emily would just strengthen this.
So after they both lost in singles will Babos & Zvonareva a) withdraw before their first match b) play a match then withdraw or c) complete the tournament?
