Maia and partner open their doubles against Lissey and partner tomorrow. Heather only playing singles tomorrow. Other doubles quarters presumably Thursday and semis Friday, final at weekend

The tournament programme is on the official website. BTW, Lissey's partner is Sam, who's Special Ranking of 79 up with the other girls rankings.

I, of course, got this wrong - Maia and partner play Liv and partner, Lissey and Sam play Heather and partner tomorrow.
Anyway, Maia and Liv's match is on court late afternoon today our time; let the battle for top spot commence!
Actually, it is v interesting as all the top British girls (pretty much) are here in the doubles, by ranking at least, so will be some interesting results coming out of this.
Such is the randomness of the tournament that 3 of the 4 seeds in Heather's half of the draw were beaten in the 1st round. The seed not beaten was Friedsam who could overtake Jodie in the rankings if she wins the tournament. It would also help Jodie's cause for having direct entry into the Australian Open if the returning Sevastova beat Yastremska.
Haven't seen her play constantly on the front foot like that for ages, taking the ball out of the air, taking it early, moving up the court, getting to the net sometimes - real pleasure.
So Maia and Jessika take the first set- a bit scrappy in places from both sides, and 7 breaks of serve. At the moment Maia is the best player on the court today.
