Who is showing this? BBC's preview says their coverage is text commentary. I can't see anything on Sky Sports or TNT Sports listings.

Tennis on Telly says the BBC are showing it (I think it'll be on rhe red button) but most of the ties will be available  on Tennis Channel  UK.

Channel 970 on Sky is BBC Red Button - and it shows coverage on Friday

I think this could be a close tie.
If someone could get a result against Garcia then I would favour us to have a good chance in the other rubbers.

We deserved a bit more to show for some very good performances against them last time, but just not sure I can see it on clay. Stranger things have happened though!

 Yes your right.

if it was outdoor clay we wouldnt have a chance but indoor clay is still tough for us.

Parry has a one handed backhand so that can be targeted however the clay will give her a little bit more time.

Seen the latest ER reel on Insta? Emma matching Carlos in the gym, that looks tough!

Thanks! I was being slightly tongue in cheek, like Deucebag I dont do social media (I check in on X/Twitter) and the world of instagram, tiktok, snapchat, facebook, you tube is a complete mystery to me - the question "why?" is the first thing that appears in my mind! no

If why is why show the post, who knows! There is something flying around the digital ether that it was a nod to Alvarezs similar post doing the same exercise , but think thats a bit of a stretch .

So, while we were all debating whether Fran should be called up, she already had been before she went to Columbia!

What a lovely person Fran is, bright, astute, grounded. I hope she gets to play, but if not she'll take it in her stride  and value the whole experience.

Thanks Lambda. Hearing from Fran I am much less wary about her taking in the BJK Cup.

OK, she wasn't going to say it was all a bit of a nuisance! - but I do think she is genuinely very pleased to be there.

Going to very interesting to see who ends up playing.

I'm not calling it anyway. Anyone?

Good to see Fran being interviewed. Never seen her interviewed before and I like her ability to keep her own perspective and not be diverted by the questions. It suggests a steeliness I hadn't anticipated.

'Steely' is a very good word for Fran

I love the way she has very firm views, that she articulates politely, but without tying herself in knots trying not to upset anyone

There was a great interview about social media and how she is dead against it, and why, and how she thinks a lot of players are sucked down that rabbit hole to their detriment

One of her comments was: 'people should talk to each other; my parents took me to restaurants from the age of 8 (?), and I was expected to make conversation...'

Bless those parents, I thought
