RE: pictures of where you live

I've been to see the Falkirk Wheel. I went under protest, but really enjoyed it - a magnificent piece of engineering.

Now I wonder why nobody is clamouring to see pictures of Tyneside?

Heh.. I've never been to the Falkirk Wheel myself as sometimes I pass it going on the way to my aunties house and yeah it's quite a magnificent structure.

Nobody was clamouring to see pictures of Falkirk/Larbert but I suppose I'm relatively new here but I posted them anyway.

I'd love to see some pics of Tyneside Mad !!! Please post them

By the way if a picture doesn't appear properly in this thread, and you just get a kind of an X below the image, right click on the X and then click view image and it will appear in a separate window.

Stunning pics from everyone

Wow, at the amount of snow you got Vonce !!! Down here in Hertfordshire, we get about 1/50th of that. That amount of snow is just a dream for us !!

The Falkirk wheel looks spectacular, why did you go under protest, Mad ?

Are the Ochi Hills in Scotland Vonce or was that taken on holiday ? Truly spectacular, wish I had hills like that near where I live, must be fantastic for hiking.

I'll find some pictures sometime, I don't do much local photography.

Falkirk Wheel - I went under protest because I am not into engineering (unlike the Other Half) and expected to be bored stiff. I wasn't - it was fascinating.

Heh snow hardly happens up here aswell but when it does snow that's what it ends up like most of the time. Plus snowing in March was quite suprising aswell.. I took those photos around 5/6 am..

The Ochil Hills are local as I can see them a bit from the front window a bit in my house. I can see them better at my aunts who lives in Larbert aswell as you can get a good view from the back windows upstairs in her house...

Nope Stagger, all those had to be removed sadly. I just realised that I have bigger versions of those, will post them after some time.

Didn't mean you to get a sneak preview.

There are some amazing pictures here......I really enjoyed looking through all of them and wish the world was smaller or we had more money to spend traveling.

Stagger....that ain't so much snow....it is pretty.....but in Montana that is a dusting of snow....the kind of stuff one might see in May or Sept......not winter at all.

Heh yeah that's the best we'll get in a snowfall really here.. But it does seem alot to me as we don't get that much or sometimes the snow doesn't lie.
