So how's my old neighbourhood? King's head still there? we used to go down to the prospect of whitby, where they didnt mind serving kids. where's your local boozer?

Given that i dont drink i dont have a "local boozer" but if i did i think the nearest one would be the Freemasons Arms outside my primary school in salmon lane (you must know where that is if you lived round commercial road).

Dunno what Kings head is though.

Btw stagger did you know that tower hamlets but especially Limehouse is now the arson capital of london? Bloody chavs

As a tight Scotsman I try and build my own house rather than pay over the odds !!!

1st House : 1992 - South Lanarkshire.....excuse the old beds awaiting the dump !!!

2nd house....twice as pricey to build...and for a while no more.........Crieff....

This is my old church in Livingston....Designed it and helped build it....all in timber frame..

i think a friend of mine goes to your club david, its fairly newly opened or had a lot done to it isnt it?

What's his name, there's a good chance that I will know him ?

The new club opened in Jan 2005, previously it was much smaller in another area of Letchworth.

There are plusses and minuses of the new club. The membership fees have shot up from about £30 a year for junior and £80 a year for adult, to £80 a year for junior and £250 a year for adult. Once I'm 18, I'm going to have to move to another club as there's no way I will be able to afford to pay £250 just for a few months in the summer.

Much was made in the advertising of the club about the new indoor facilities, however what they didn't say was that you have to pay between £6 - £12 for an hour on the indoor courts, even if you've paid £250 for adult membership. That means that I've only played on the indoor courts about 8 times in 18 months.

The massive advantage of the new club is the outdoor courts which are much better quality than the previous ones. Now we have 7 decent outdoor courts compared to just 3 previously.

There's loads of new members now which means it's much easier to get someone to play against but you have to book courts well in advance.

Here is the view from my window (pretty much the only angle from which campus doesn't look like a concrete monstrousity):

This is 'a typical street in York':

And here is the beautiful York Minster:

And this is a different part of my college this afternoon:

(I can't find any pictures of Newbury, where I live when not at uni but it's an ugly place anyway!)

the guy i know is called indy, he in his 30's, dont think he has been recenlty but his daughter plays quite often there, cant remember her name tho.

i was looking at joining a club but its hard to decide, if i go for one the globe seems most likley, they all expenisve, but this one isnt too bad, and i think its got a good range of players there, the only downside is it isnt that easy to reach from where i live.
