Another up and coming star from Colwyn Bay in North Wales. As Chris Lewis Tennis Wales noted, from Viktor first practise sessions at Colwyn Bay they knew he had potential.
5. Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid - Alfie is already qualified individually for Player of the Season but as a pair, Alfie and Gordon are the real deal - winners of Australian, French and Wimbledon slams this year, the are the worlds top pair with 9 titles overall this season - Gordon alongside Joe Salisbury is the only slam winner not in the PoS qualfiers so far, so this gives him a chance to right that wrong as part of this dominating pair. Also won the Wheelchair Masters title to cap a great season as world champions.
6. Emily Appleton - for her dedication and progress up the rankings. Although Emily's schedule is largely dictated by doubles she has managed to improve her singles ranking to 386 on 31 Oct (and a career high 368 a couple of weeks earlier) from 793 on 31 Oct last year. The London native concluded the fall season with a 12-3 singles record. Seven of his wins were against ranked opponents. All but two of his victrices were sweeps".
I felt JPJ's college performance would go largely un-noticed if not put up here for public vote!! Amelia Rajecki would also deserve similar recognition but she has already qualified for the Player of the Season vote through a great PoM vote earlier this season and so doesnt need to be up for a wildcard!!!
18. Angelica Blake - had her strongest year yet at Stanford as they reached team semi finals where she and Amelia Rajecki were locked at 1 set all when the team match ended. Was 36-7 for the year. 15 wins in a row March to May. 12 ranked wins including players ranked 3,5 and 8. Won All American status. Ha, I see that Jon sneaked in Angela's script while I was doing my addition.
Anyway that's me for now. I was tempted to add Marni just because. But decided not quite enough
Actually it was Danny! no worries, we can tidy it up later. Lets take off the 20 limit I think, its only an arbitrary rule aimed at getting nominations!
1. Jan Choinski - gained over 100 places in the rankings up to a CH 126 winning his second challenger title along the way.

Tidied - if we get more than 20, Ill just work out some groups depending on how many wildcard places there are and how many nominations we get. Im expecting 2 or 3 wildcard places. If we have 20 nominations, Ill do one big vote.

21. Marcus Walters - for topping the season long British Tour leaderboard, taking the lead by winning the last counting event of the season.
I still expect 2 players or more from this list to qualify for PoS before the wild card vote takes place, so the list of 21 will reduce to 19 or fewer by the time of the vote, based on nominations so far - obviously that could change!
OK, I have now yielded to my earlier temptation and nominated Marni.
1. Jan Choinski - gained over 100 places in the rankings up to a CH 126 winning his second challenger title along the way.

Looks like we definitely end up with groups now as we should end up with above 20 participants!
Depending on how many wild cards there are, I will randomly split the nominees into that many groups eg if there are 3 wildcards, it will be 3 groups. No seeding, no attempt to keep doubles players away from doubles players, purely a random draw and lets see who gets through.
But to make it random I will need some help from the board! I will ask for that on the day of the draw, so keep an eye out as I will need some minor input to help me!
6 days left now for wild card nominations! Anyone who does well this weekend or week coming could get into November player of the month but might also have had a good season and get on this list also - your call, nominators!
1. Jan Choinski - gained over 100 places in the rankings up to a CH 126 winning his second challenger title along the way.
