Bronte had match points in the second set.

Yes, though it has to be said that her opponent played incredibly well on those points cry

A few experienced pairs plus some scratch (?) pairings, including Annali who very rarely plays at ITF level.

Most of our top doubles players (well seven of them !) are playing in the W60 in France this week)

Those who wanted to watch Hollie Smart can now do so, as she is now playing with live stream.

Congrats to Alisha !

She came through in a MTB - the only one to beat a foreign player today

The eight qualifying places have gone, unusually, to the top eight seeds. They were, however, the eight players in the draw with world rankings. I'm particularly pleased to see Emma, Abby and Alisha win. All have come back from US uni and have all, with practically zero support in terms of wild cards, been trying to make their way up the rankings. Special congratulations to Abby and Alisha who both had to contend with the gamesmanship of today's opponents.

Mika did get the other wildcard.
Decent draw for the Brits - although Emma, Mika and Isabelle have tough looking matches.

Jaquelyn Ogunwale is also missing from qualifying and may have a WC. It wouldn't surprise me though if Mika Stojsavljevic turns up with a WC, even though she's not entered.

Good spot on Mika, Lambda

Lovely to see Katie Swan's name back on the list

We've got all our hopes, really, in the lower half - unless Mika has a blast, I can't see much joy in the top half

Do you have anything specific to share on the vile conduct you are aware of from their opponents?

I know I'm one of the worst at all the rules but Mika is only 14 and when I look back at her result sheet this year (which is all in her birth year), she has had:

WC to Sunderland MD
WC to Glasgow MD
WC to Roehampton MD
WC to Foxhills MD
WC to Surbiton QD
WC to Nottingham MD
WC to Loughborough MD

Is that allowed?

Do they all not count basically because she lost in R1 in nearly all of them?

Moreover, or in which case, no matter how much of a fan one might be of her tennis, is that really warranted? Is that just Lewandowski doing the usual?

Only Nottingham and Glasgow count. Remember, a WC will only count to both AER and usual calendar year limits when they get WTA points with it. So any loss in R1 of a W25 or W15, or any loss in Q1 of any ITF will not count towards WC limits.

And, no, in my view it's not warranted. She's at the NTA, so I thought she wasn't with Lewandowski now?

 Thanks, Lambda

I thought I was on the right tracks about the fact that she's lost nearly all the matches being the get-out-of-jail-free card.

Which seems ironic really.

And, yes, it seems rather OTT, actually more than 'rather'......

(I was told recently that she was with Lewandowski still but that person might have been out of touch, tbh, so I woudn't swear to it)
