With more drop outs likely, Arthur in Metz and Billy in Sofia arent a million miles from getting into qualies
Indeed, I guess Billy changing from Helsinki challenger to Sofia would depend on the schedule in Bergamo tomorrow. If he is on late(and obviously loses) hed struggle to get to Sofia in time as I assume qualifying starts on Saturday.
I notice Sofia has an entry list slot kept as emergency substitute, as well as having 1 of its 3 wildcards available still. Metz has all 3 available. What is an emergency substitute - I mean, I know the words but what actually is that? Is it a last minute slot if Zverev decides he needs to play to get to Turin?
I notice the other 4 remaining Turin singles contenders are all in Metz, giving a lop sided feel to the week; the 2 remaining doubles contending pairs are conversely both in Sofia.

Thanks madadman- got it. So Tiafoe and Shelton withdrew from top 4 players, Tiafoe in top 2. And they need a player coming in to be above the second player left in, Musetti at 22. zverev would appear to be the person for the job if he needs to play.

Billy is now on the Sofia Q list as well as Helsinki. I do wonder if he withdrew from Helsinki Q and opted for Sofia but then won today. Hed obviously not be able to play Sofia Q, would he then be eligible for a challenger SE. Whereas if he was down for the Helsinki Q hed have to make the final this week to get an SE.
In Metz - Jan is looking like he will be 3rd seed in qualies, be great to see him actually qualify for an ATP250 main draw.
Metz doubles - Jamie and Venus have pulled out, leaving Lloyd in the field and Josh Paris as 1st alt with Cukierman. Would be great for Josh to make the field if anyone else pulls out!!
In Sofia, doubles, Josh is 3rd alt in Sofia, so hopefully got a chance of one or the other event?
Sofia qualifying draw is out. There is a PC, player competing, place in the draw. Which is also where the 8th seed should be the 7th seed was a place above Billy in the entry list. It does look like it is possible to make it, if Billy loses to Jack tonight. 0630 tomorrow morning there is a flight from Bergamo to Sofia arriving at 0930. Looks like its then only a 20 minute drive to the venue.
