We will be lucky if we get 2 GB girls into the next round.

So after all our speculation it turns out that Hannah is playing qualifying rather than getting a MDWC. Personally I think this is a sensible decision as there are worthwhile points available at 100K level and the chance to win some matches, rather than risk drawing a top seed in the first round proper and losing early.

Hannah playing here reminds of when Laura Robson played here as a 14 year old - making the semis of a 75K.

Are they likely to offer any more than two WCs for the MD? There are a few juniors in the acceptance list with reasonable junior rankings but none that really stands out. They might have thrown some of them in deep end of a W25 but a W100 would be a different ball game.

At present they have Harriet, Lily, Katie Sw, Anna Br and I assume Emily Ap in the MD.

Fran Jones might get one as her tournament in Israel was cancelled.

This may well back up the other guy's argument that because of the limited number she has left, and she's in qualis as of right, that it'd be better to keep her remaining wildcard(s) for other events where the entry list is higher

Either way, it's great to see her back -hoping all injury issues are a thing of the past #fingerscrossed

Good to see Hannah back. Was wondering when she would return.

Katherine Barnes going well, 4-1 up. Remember she did beat Emma earlier in the US open winning year.

Imogen H has so far successfully defended 14 break points against her excitable higher ranked opponent. There are lots of words and arm waving from the French girl but Imogen just keeps calmly plugging away.

Two going well currently, both set and a break up, Imogen and Katherine.
