I get that Jodie has a high-risk game that can go off the boil, and that therefore it's frustrating when it happens for us to watch, I do think she gets way more intense flak from people on this board when she falls short, than other players do.
She gets flak for her attitude at times. It has improved but IMO her reactions to situations are still too often poor and counterproductive, and understandably commented on.
Overall she has hugely progressed in the last year or so but I think many folk just think she could be doing even better and really want her to.

Her actual tennis has really progressed, but I think folk just think she could do even better and really want her to.

Agree with this. She's very frustrating. When she's on she's really on. However, when she loses it it clearly impedes her game and her level drops.
She's still relatively young and inexperienced but she's not a teenager either and whilst some players seem able to take their frustrations, get angry and turn this to their advantage this often seems to be the opposite with Jodie.
It's almost like she could use some sports anger management course as right now I think her attitude, at times, is holding back her game.
She's made big strides this year and has the game to compete at the level of this competition and for me this is a big wasted opportunity. There's not a single player left in the draw who Jodie is not capable of beating. A shame as not every tournament will be so weak.
This is a really open tournament with only the 4th and 5th seeds left and they meet in the quarter finals. The qualifier Makarova in the quarter finals is not the Makarova who won the Wimbledon doubles in 2017 and was a Grand Slam singles semi finalist. If Jodie had won she would have played Snigur who she had beaten at Rouen recently.
I always copy the names from the draws - but the WTA aren't helpful and only post initials, so firstnames have to be typed in. Some of the spellings are not what you'd expect.
