Then in the Davis Cup Finals group.stage in Manchester won his 2 singles matches and 2 out of 3 doubles matches ( with Neal Skupski ), saving 4 MPs in an ultimate third set TB decider vs Mahut & Roger- V of France, with some amazing play by both. Dan on court for nearly 5 hours on that final day.

19. Tom Hill - for coaching Maria Sakkari, for a long time, having endured awful trolling on social media, with Maria being cast as the ultimate choker, about to quit - and sticking with it, helping her finally win a big title - coaches are often unsung heroes, so well done Tom.

20. Freya Peet - born 2008, she's just won the singles in the J60 in Botswana, and was runner-up in the doubles.

21. Hollie Smart - born 2009 - playing just her third ever ITF event - has won the title in the J60 in Greece. It's a name that going to be high up of the GB interest list for years to come.

I was torn between Dan and Alfie and really wanted to go for Alfie, but Dan's work in the DC event was so impressive, it took my vote

Second place could well be wide open in this group.

Gosh, it's a hard choice across all three semi-finals this month. So many great performances. I've gone for Mika because I think that was very impressive for her age (so easy to freeze at a big event) and would like to see her in the final. And I expect Dan to win this semi-final easily!
