So Ranah is the only British woman to make it past Thursday in singles. And with Lucia and Imogen a set down against the top seeds it does look as if there will be no-one left in the doubles either.

I'm wondering who will be the next female player to try and break into the top 500. Talia and Isabelle have been close, but injuries have hampered. Ella is struggling to adapt to seniors. Not sure if anyone else bar Ranah is ready yet. The younger junior superstars will be focusing on juniors

Going by the numbers and leaving out Maia the possible candidates are Emilie LG, Alice G and Lauryn JB. It really depends on who can stay fit and if there are any home tournaments.

Noticed Talia is due back soon but has 15 points off in October- Amelia R will be back to college soon. Like a Western it's Slim Pickens. wink
