I wonder whether Hannah may be in line for competing in the Junior tour finals in China from 16th October.  Just for turning up and playing her matches she would get 150 points improving her overall points and a minimum 'Travel allowance' for 2024 of $8,500 and any wins would increase both of these.

She is only ranked 14 for the 8 person event but I wonder whether Korneeva, Ngounoue, Perez Alarcon, Ishii, Koike and Gureva would bother, which would put her in 8th place.  No details yet on who is competing in these that I can see.

 Good thinking, simon381

Of course, the problem in the US might also be a little more serious than we'd thought......or the US issue might just have been heat but the other slight issues (as evidenced by the support bandages) might mean they were a bit more serious too

I'm hopinh you're right

It looks like Hannah's withdrawals were because the plan is now to play Shrewsbury (being the only event she hasn't withdrawn from in weeks 41 and 42), presumably with a qWC.

FUTURES

Israel $25K (Hard) - Hussey (Benaim)

    ....................................................................................................................................

WTA

FUTURES

Israel $15K (Hard) - (Yardley)

Something tells me that neither of those events is going to happen.  The men's qualifying draw should've been up by now & there's no sign of it.

All tennis events in Israel this week are cancelled. A decision on events for future weeks will be taken in the coming days.

Thanks Lambda - can I ask, you seem to know these things very clearly; are you a journo or maybe work for the LTA or ITF? Which is not a problem ,  but would be very interesting ! Or do you just know where to find information quickly ?
