Lestienne appears to have had a very injury hit 2023, with a number of retirements and withdrawals. He was Top 50 at the start of the year. He suffers from arthritis so suspect he is always going to be up and down physically. He's great to watch though - one of those players who really varies his game, like a Mannarino or Santoro.
Ironically he benefited from retirements in his quarterfinal and semifinal so will be quite fresh.

I think I've mentioned it before.. I was couirtside when Liam beat Lestienne at Nottingham Challenger but the guy was really messing around at the end. Almost like he threw the match.
