This is obviously her. It's ridiculous.

But, as I've said before, I think it's exacerbated by really poor coaching when she was younger

I've seen at least two matches, about age 18, where Colin Beecher and Lucie Ahl basically allowed Jodie to act like a complete prima donna, with hissy fits of utter Oscar winning level, and did nothing about it. 

As coaches you have power. It doesn't matter if you're on the sidelines. I've seen coaches order their young players to shake hands and end the match, or else they're out. And that's just the ultimate threat. 

Of course, JTC might say, but she's done really well. And I'd still say (a) yes, but she'd have done better, faster, if you'd had better discipline, and (b) what about the others whom you also allowed to behave the same way? (And there were several). Where are they?

If a child of mine behaved like that I would deal with it, not abdicate responsibility to some other poor bugger, at the very least, I would have a conversation with the coach and agree a clear plan to deal with it.
Unfortunately I've had a run in with a tennis coaching parent who not only failed to deal with his child's poor behaviour, but actively encouraged it.

And, believe me, I dragged one of mine one off the court when his theatricals went over the top, IMO. Little scally was actually getting the other mother to feel sorry for him ! Best thing I ever did  

But Jodie's parents weren't at the matches that I saw. And her coaches were.

And she was about 18. Not really a child.

So, I don't care if her parents were utterly delinquent in their parenting - all I do know is that the coaches should have intervened.
