National League Team Tennis

The finals of this this year's competition took place at Bournemouth this weekend. Congratulations to Sutton and their team of Eliz Maloney, Dani Daley, Abby Amos and Alisha Reayer. Sutton defended their title with a second consecutive victory over Roehampton who included the hugely talented Amarni Banks in their line up.

I was just looking at National League teams for 2024 and noticed that Roehampton has Zarina Diyaz named in their team. Is this Kazakhstan's Diyaz who hasn't played since RG 2022 and is she based in London?

Certainly looks like the right player - and the age tallies between LTA & ITF profiles.
That's a pretty strong squad to draw from - half of them have played In ITF tournaments this year and many of the remainder are retired pros.

Roehampton seem to be taking some pretty large sledgehammers to crack the proverbials this year. Zarina Diyas has a WTN of 40.9. Not sure she'll be too extended by the No 4's in other clubs. She is obviously considered on a par with another of Roehampton's total beginners-Olga Savchuk!
