Freya didn't make it into qualifying, but has a different partner this week for the doubles

In case anyone wasn't aware, Emily is trying to raise money for the Cokan Tennis Academy in Slovenia who she's worked with in the last 18 months and who's entire set-up was wrecked in recent flooding.

I'm overseas with work so couldn't get a stream up but maybe that was the best! Looked a real tussle with neither pair able to build up a lead. But our girl is through, and given she is defending Chennai from last year that's a really important, as well as being very good, win!

Woohoo - im off for a celebratory red wine and baguette.

That's a decent win as both those youngsters are pretty well-ranked in singles

Very glad to see Freya trying her luck with a different partner

Rain today cut short the day's play, so Em will play early tomorrow as will the other QF - with both semis to be played later in the day.
