Thanks, I have now corrected my original so the error doesn't keep coming back.

This is the Katherine (Kat) Barnes who beat Emma just before Emma went to New York and won the US Open, yes?

Didnt some on this board sling a little mud at Barnes a couple of years back re line calls and behaviour? Have I got the correct player? And apologies to her if I havent !

It was against our very own Hannah Klugman in British Tour final in Woking in 2021. I tried to find the YouTube video of it but to no avail. But quick scan of Hannahs results on LTA website shows that Kat Barnes was disqualified in the final

It was Emma's first tournament back after her sabbatical to do her A-levels, just before the Nottingham WTA. That was Kat's last tournament until she reappeared earlier this year.

Yes, but - net net - it was then that Kat beat her (and there was that bit of hoo-hah about it, and the match was televised, and we were all talking about it, I seem to remember.....good ol' days

According to the North Norfolk News, Katherine has been injured which helps explain her two year absence. It sounds like her first event back was at a Progress Tour event in Cromer earlier this year. The article also mentions that her coach is Czech which may explain why shes playing here this week (apols if this info about her coach is common knowledge).

It was May 2021 at the British Tour in Felixstowe. The day I was meant to go along but couldn't at the last minute. It wasn't long after that disqualification.
