Some big points to defend near the top of the table, particularly Harriet and Katie Swan as a percentage of their overall points total (obviously Emma too but she hasn't been playing for a while and will have a protected ranking).

Steangely the problems are lower down the rankings. Those with the highest percentages off are

Those playing doubles are usually in tournaments where their singles ranking doesn't give them a chance to pick up singles points - even in qualies.

As you say though, those are largely players that are more focused on doubles or are starting out their careers. Katie S and Harriet will have the problem of having to qualify for more tournaments, which can make it tougher to progress, both from fatigue or the bad luck of being drawn against a WC in qualifying that is actually higher ranked as sometimes happens. Also, TBH I'm more focused on them than on many on your list but feel most for the injured players. You can get stuck in that bind that you've been injured for a while, so you might put off playing until you get protected ranking but that is a long time to be out of the game.

Miyazaki qualified for US Open (40) + won 1st round (70) = 110

So I think her gained should be 110

Her net should be - 9

My fault for not explaining clearly how it works. Points are gained in the week they are scored. The 30 points for QR3 (week 34) went on last week into the June-August table. Thats why her total is 387 not 357.

The 10 points for qualified only went on this week (week  35) when she played the R1 match as well as the 70 for the R1 win. It's always a problem for the first week of a table if it coincides with week one of a 2 weeker, and with W15 and W25 points as well.

Thank you. The seasons and the tennis calendar don't quite match so I can understand my mistake, now you've explained it.

Lower down Hannah Klugman and Alisha Reayer get over the line.
