That's a fairly amazing win - former JWR 1 and almost-Top 100 player. Top work!

Good to see Marni progress but never like to see a retirement.

Shame for Beth. I feel like these are the matches she needs to be winning t9 get back t9 where she was but 8 suppose with her health issues , little by little.

Beth did say some weeks ago that she is now fit and well to go for it and really just a question of building up her game and confidence again.

It's been happening for her in doubles lately but not in singles.

SF:- Holly Hutchinson (GBR) / Tenika Mcgiffin (AUS) CR1301 (364+937) [2] lost to Ava Markham (USA) / Fangran Tian (CHN) CR1362 (509+853) [3] 2-6 6-2 9-11

I'm not 100% certain, but I think that as they had a bye and then a walkover they may only get QF points rather than SF points. The rulebook isn't the clearest,

Ha, I was wondering how that was going to work. So that MTB may prove to be the difference between 9 points and at least 30 points.
